Stenkelfeld

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stenkelfeld is a series of radio plays by Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR). In addition, "Stenkelfeld" is the stage name of the author and speaker duo Detlev Gröning and Harald Wehmeier , as well as the name of a fictional district in Northern Germany . As speakers, the authors tell satirical everyday stories , often with absurdly disguised voices . They imitate the actual reporting on the radio by adopting the style of reports and interviews (with Stenkelfelder personalities).

history

The first episodes were broadcast by NDR 2 in the 1990s .

The alleged end of the series has already been proclaimed several times (the fourth CD was already called "The Last"); As the original “Stenkelfeld broadcaster”, NDR 2 no longer has the episodes in its program and has not continued the series since 2003.

From September 1, 2008 to April 17, 2009, NDR 2 regularly broadcast old episodes as “Comedy Classics”. These episodes are still available on the broadcaster's website. In addition to the radio series, there was a television version on NDR television in the mid-1990s, including with Ernst Dieter Lueg and Ulf Ansorge (today: NDR).

SWR3 has been broadcasting episodes of the series on a daily basis since autumn 2010 . Since February 7, 2013, WDR 2 has been broadcasting old episodes for a city with an allusion to WDR 2 .

Content

The stories deal with diverse topics from society and politics; German authorities are particularly fond of caricatures. Recurring elements are the "CD of the Week" (ironic presentation of an actual musician), the 100 masterpieces of the Stenkelfeld art gallery (analysis of an everyday object in the style of an art-historical expertise, parody of the 1000 masterpieces ) as well as chronological disaster reports, which are always accompanied by a description complete devastation and through smoking rubble of erring people. The last sentence of these reports always begins with the words "People like you and me ...". It is also happy to describe how (old) people fail because of modern technology. In addition, traditions and clichés are often portrayed in a grotesque way, such as the “Plague Guild of 1427”, a kind of rifle club , or deliberately absurd alternative groups - example: the “Menstruation Circle of Lesbian Artists”, some of which are male with their “bag bearer” chants torpedo dominated event.

Characters

With only a few exceptions, all Stenkelfeld characters have the umlaut "ö" in their surname.

  • Wilhelm Oelgemöller, SPD , undisputed Lord Mayor since 1970 ( albeit with a brief interruption: on the CD outrageous , he is referred to as the leader of the opposition, and in the episode “Am Kreisligagrill” an exploding grill is compared with “Wilhelm Oelgemöller after the election defeat”). Oelgemöller is also presented as a member of the Bundestag , lives on donations, and has a 25% share in the sales proceeds of all Stenkelfeld CDs. The opposition accuses him of being addicted to gambling and alcohol and also of running a “drug puff” (the Lolita Club ) in Hachmannsfelder Gehölz and of having various illegitimate children. He speaks only Low German ex officio and therefore has to be translated by voiceover in all verbal contributions , whereby the translation often differs noticeably from the original and, for example, formulates angry ranting as neutral factual statements.
  • Heinrich Oertel, CDU , has been an opposition leader for just as long (although he ruled for a while, see above) and chairman of the trade association. As such, like the Lord Mayor, he is not averse to any financial attention. For years he has been fighting against the sole rule of Mayor Wilhelm Oelgemöller. Before he went into politics, he was the senior manager of the car dealership Oertel, which later burned down .
  • Ralf Sögel, (alluding to Ralph Siegel ). “The composer of all popular popular hits” as well as the composer of various advertising songs and the owner of a recording studio. He is the interpreter of the two Stenkelfeld songs, which were released as single: Verliebte Fischer and Das duale System . Sögel is also often hired by people who hope that his songs will have an advertising effect (for example for World Savings Day ). Most of the time, however, these assignments end in disaster , as Sögel composes and writes idiosyncratically and, in the end, not infrequently fights with the client.
  • Jean-Jacques Gelee, television presenter, inventor of numerous game shows. His verbal contributions often seem like the description of a prize in kind from a game show and are accompanied by accompanying music.
  • Gustav Gnöttgen, the epitome of the German caretaker. Employed in all public institutions, including the Claudia Schiffer Grammar School
  • Friedhelm Pötter, head of the Jürgen-Koppelin training center (see institutions), works inspector a. D. and "Official of the year 1954"
  • Dr. Walter Broermeyer, full academic and universal scientist and holder of all doctoral degrees, responsible for all scientific areas at the Wim-Thoelke -University Stenkelfeld, head of the Höcklage fire hose museum, pioneer of a subregional sewage disposal concept, astrophysicist and head of the " Frauke-Ludowig - the Great Drengberg Observatory", Internist and head of the district medical association, chairman of the jury of the medical association, head of the cultural office, chairman of the district culture committee, namesake of the Dr. Broermeyer arena.
  • August Röhrmöller, according to the latest information, a 97-year-old senior and war veteran. He often has trouble with his telephone and the director of the institution Friedemann von Klöhn. Although Röhrmöller has lived on the verge of senility for years, he still manages to keep up with the times in certain areas.
  • Friedemann von Klhnen, director of the senior citizens ' home on Höcklager Industrieweg
  • Erna B., pensioner and grandmother of several grandchildren, regularly triggers catastrophic chain reactions through misinterpreted, harmless everyday actions.
  • Horst Düvelskirchen, workshop manager in the company "Autoteile Pröppgenkrögel & Sons", previously employed at the Oertel car dealership, played a key role in its destruction.
  • Alfred Köppel , official inspector and head of the vehicle registration office
  • Manfred von Lausitz-Ölpen , forest biologist and press spokesman for the Stenkelfelder Jagdgesellschaft
  • Dr. Bernwart oil wealth , director of the "Volksgenossenbank von 1936".
  • Emma Görtemöller , saleswoman, volunteer at VfR Stenkelfeld. Grills the best Thuringians in the district league
