Mike Perez
Mike Perez (* 20th October 1985 in Sancti Spiritus , Cuba as Ismaikel Pérez Pérez ) is a Cuban boxer in the heavyweight division .
Amateur career
Among the amateurs, Perez was among other things in 2004 in Jeju-si , Jeju-do , South Korea , in the light heavyweight youth world champion . There he beat Petrisor Bucur , Mikhail Sheybak , Danny Price and Nikolay Pavlyukov .
Professional career
Perez, fighting name "The Rebel", was able to make his first 20 fights victorious. In his 21st battle, the southpaw against Carlos Takam reached only one draw over 10 rounds. His next fight against the American Bryant Jennings he lost by split point decision.
In May 2015, Perez competed unmotivated and in poor form against the Russian Alexander Wladimirowitsch Powetkin for the silver title of the WBC and was already severely knocked out in the first round
