Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz (born August 31, 1982 in Mérida ) is a former Venezuelan football player. The goalkeeper played once for the Venezuelan national team .
Career
Jaimez-Ruiz played at Graceland and St. Gregory's Universities in the United States before moving to Romania in 2003. There he did not make his breakthrough in the professional field until 2005, in 2006 he completed several test trainings in England and finally played for a few months on a contract-free basis at the fourth division club FC Barnet . In February 2007 he went to eight-class Northwood FC . His performances there caught the attention of those in charge of Aldershot Town , who added the goalkeeper to their squad in April 2007 and provided him with a professional contract in July 2007.
At Aldershot Jaimes-Ruiz was initially mostly a substitute goalkeeper behind Nikki Bull , in the 2007/08 promotion season he made four league appearances and was also active in the Conference League Cup . In the final there against Rushden & Diamonds, he became the decisive player. He saved a penalty in overtime and saved Chris Hope's decisive penalty in the subsequent penalty shoot-out .
Jaimez-Ruiz, who came to a use for the Venezuelan national team in a friendly against Guatemala in 2005 , made his League Two debut on October 4, 2008 in a 3-3 draw against FC Bury . Since Bull's departure in summer 2009, he was the club's regular goalkeeper until the end of the season.
