Mikko Alikoski (born July 28, 1986 in Oulu ) is a former Finnish ice hockey player who was active for Kärpät Oulu and KooKoo in the Liiga and won the Finnish championship five times with Kärpät.
Career
Mikko Alikoski already played in the junior division for Kärpät Oulu , for whose professional team he made his debut in the SM-liiga in the 2003/04 season . Since his debut, the attacker with Kärpät has won the championship title in the SM-liiga three times in 2004, 2007 and 2008 , was runner-up in 2009 and third in 2006. During the 2004/05 season , in which Kärpät also became champions, Alikoski was only on the ice for their junior team. In addition, he reached the final of the IIHF European Champions Cup with Kärpät in 2006 , whereby the team was defeated by the Russian representative HK Dynamo Moscow .
In the 2012/13 season Alikoski played for the Mestis club KooKoo before he returned to Kärpät in 2013 and won the Finnish championship with his home club in 2014 and 2015.
Between 2015 and 2017 he ended his career at KooKoo.
International
For Finland , Alikoski took part in the 2004 U18 World Junior Championship and the 2006 Junior World Championship . In the title fights of 2006 he won the bronze medal with his team.
