Milan is a town in Ripley County in the US state of Indiana . It is about 100 kilometers west of Cincinnati .
The film Hoosiers , a term that can be translated as 'hillbilly' to both the people of Indiana, traces the victory of the local Milan High School basketball team , which won the championship in 1954.
