from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Miller Fellow Program is a foundation established by the Adolph C. and Mary Sprague Miller Institute for Basic Research in Science on the University of California, Berkeley campus . The foundation supports the research fellows who work at the university. Eight to ten fellows can be accepted each year , selected from hundreds of applicants based on their academic achievements and plans.

The fellowship is granted for three years, during which the fellows can make use of the university's facilities and are supported and accompanied by the lecturers. Some fellows are given the opportunity to remain as lecturers at the university, most of them get positions at other renowned universities around the world.

Similar programs are e.g. B. the Harvard Junior Fellows program at Harvard University or the Junior Fellowship program at the University of Cambridge .

To date, over 400 fellows have been supported in all areas of natural science since 1960 .
