successes
Miloslav Bednařík was 1985 in Montecatini Terme and 1986 in Suhl in the individual competition as world champions as well as in 1986 in the team competition. In 1985 he had won bronze with the team. In 1988 Bednařík took part in the Olympic Games in Seoul . With 148 or another 49 points, he moved into the finals in second place over the first round and the semifinals. In this he remained flawless like Dmytro Monakow with equal points , so that the decision about the Olympic victory was only made in the jump-off. After both hit seven goals, Bednařík missed the eighth goal. Monakow, however, also met this and won the gold medal, which left Bednařík silver.
A year later, Bednařík was killed in a motorcycle accident.
