Mims (born March 21, 1981 in Washington Heights , Manhattan , New York ; actually Sean Mims ) is an American rapper .

biography

Mims was born to a family who immigrated from Jamaica . In 2006 he was signed by the record label EMI / Capitol Records . With his debut single This Is Why I'm Hot , he reached the top of the US Billboard charts in March 2007 . His first album was released on March 27, 2007, but was temporarily withdrawn from the trade due to a ruling obtained from rapper Bushido and will be re-released with a different cover design. The reason for the decision was the silhouette of Bushido, which represented the "I" on Mims CD, but in the original Bushido's "Germany give me a mic" DVD adorns.
