The Mindener Hütte is located at an altitude of 2,426 m in the Ankogel group in the Hohe Tauern, directly on the Tauernhöhenweg. It is owned by the Minden section of the German Alpine Club and is operated as a self-catering hut.
history
On May 6, 1924, the Minden Section decided to build a hut on the Tauernsee on the way to the Hindenburghöhe . The inauguration took place on July 17, 1925. The hut had two beds on an area of 6 m² and was extended for the first time two years later. In 1962 a common room followed and in 1978 it reached its present size.
