Lostorf mineral spring

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Lostorf mineral spring is a mineral spring in Lostorf in the canton of Solothurn . The company Mineralquelle Eptingen , which operates the Lostorfer Quelle, fills the mineral water Cristallo and that of the Lidl house brand from the spring water from the Swiss Jura . The company also produces several soft drinks from the same spring water.

history

The already in Roman times known mineral spring from Lostorf was rediscovered in 1412 and when spa use.

In 1933, the family company Mineralquelle Eptingen bought the source rights in Lostorf and founded the independent subsidiary Mineralquelle Lostorf AG. Between 1933 and 2002 this subsidiary sold the Lostorf mineral water in Switzerland.

In the 1990s the company opened up additional sources in Lostorf. In 2002 the old Roman spring was shut down and a new spring in Lostorf was put into operation. This also changed the name of the Lostorf mineral water and from then on it was called Cristallo. In 2005 Mineralquelle Lostorf AG was integrated into Mineralquelle Eptingen AG.

source

Due to its own pressure of four bar , the spring water in Lostorf penetrates from a depth of 514 meters to the surface. Thus the water comes from an artesian spring . When it emerges, the mineral water is around 29 ° C.
