Mingma Sherpa

Mingma Sherpa (born June 16, 1978 in Nurbu Chaur , Sankhuwasabha , Nepal ) is a Nepalese mountaineer. He is the first Sherpa , the first Nepalese and the 24th mountaineer ever to have managed to climb all eight-thousanders , i.e. all 14 mountains worldwide with a height of over 8,000 meters. He completed the ascent series on May 20, 2011 with the Kangchenjunga , a few days before his 33rd birthday. Mingma Sherpa was the youngest climber of all eight-thousanders. In April 2013, this record was broken by Mingma's brother Chhang Dawa .

Mingma Sherpa is married and has two children (as of 2005).
