Henriette Wilhelmine "Minna" Heeren (born October 26, 1823 in Hamburg ; † May 7, 1898 there ) was a German genre painter .

Life

Minna Heeren learned painting in Hamburg as an autodidact. Between 1848 and 1857 she received private lessons from various painters in Dresden and Düsseldorf . She settled in Düsseldorf in 1857 and stayed until 1880. She is a member of the Düsseldorf School of Painting . She created pictures of the life of farmers and children. Minna Heeren remained unmarried.
