Minna Peschka-Leutner , née Minna von Leutner , (born October 25, 1839 in Vienna , † January 12, 1890 in Wiesbaden ) was an Austrian opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Minna von Leutner was trained for opera by Heinrich Proch . In 1856 she began her career in Breslau and later became a member of the court theater in Dessau .

In 1861 she married the Viennese doctor Johann Peschka. In 1865 the Peschka-Leutner had an engagement in Darmstadt , from 1868 to 1876 at the Leipzig City Theater, until 1883 she was in Cologne and then in Hamburg . In 1887 she retired from the stage.

Minna Peschke-Leutner achieved international fame through her exceptional coloratura skills, which led her to guest tours to America in 1872 and 1881.
