Minuscule 76 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), δ 298 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 358 sheets of parchment (19 × 13.5 cm). Using paleography , the manuscript was dated to the 14th century. The handwriting is complete.

description

The manuscript contains the text of the New Testament except for the Revelation of John . It was written in one column with 27 lines each. The manuscript contains prolegomena, lists of the κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, ammonian sections (Mark 234), (not the Eusebian canon ), lectionary markings, incipits, synaxarion, menologion and images.

The order of the books is Gospels , Acts , Catholic Epistles, and Pauline Epistles . The letter to the Hebrews is listed as Paul's last book.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type . Kurt Aland placed it in Category V a. It belonged to the text family K x . Lyrically he is close to the Complutensic Polyglot .

history

Perhaps the handwriting was used by editors of the Complutensian Polyglot. The manuscript was examined by John Mill in 1711 . It was used by Franzis Karl Alter in his edition of the Greek New Testament in 1786. Caspar René Gregory compared them in 1887.

The code is currently in the Austrian National Library (Theol. Gr. 300) in Vienna .
