Minuscule 84 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), ε 1219 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 66 parchment sheets (17 × 13.2 cm). The manuscript was dated to the 12th century using paleography . The handwriting is incomplete.

description

The manuscript contains the text of the Gospels according to Matthew and Mark with numerous gaps. It was written in one column with 20–21 lines each and contains κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, ammonian sections (not Eusebian canon), lectionary markings and incipits.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type . Kurt Aland placed it in Category V a.

history

The manuscript used to be in Augsburg (like Codex 83 and 85 ). It was examined by Johann Albrecht Bengel , Johann Martin Augustin Scholz , John William Burgon , and Caspar René Gregory .

The code is in the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (Gr. 568) in Munich .
