Minuscule 85 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), ε 391 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 30 sheets of parchment (14 × 9.7 cm). The manuscript was dated to the 13th century using paleography . The handwriting is incomplete.

description

The manuscript contains the text of the four Gospels with numerous gaps. It was written in one column with 25 lines each. The ink is light brown, the parchment is thick. The manuscript contains κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, ammonian sections (no Eusebian classifications ), lectionary markings and incipits.

history

The manuscript used to be in Augsburg (like Codex 83 and 84 ). It was examined by Johann Albrecht Bengel , Johann Martin Augustin Scholz , John William Burgon , and Caspar René Gregory .

The code is in the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (Gr. 569) in Munich .
