Mira Thiel

Mira Thiel (* 1979 in Munich ) is a German screenwriter and film director .

Life

Thiel was born in Munich and is the daughter of the Bulgarian physician Antonia Thiel and the German oncologist Eckhard Thiel . She gained her first practical experience at the age of 17 as a set intern for the American television series The X-Files - The FBI's Scary Cases .

From 2000 she worked as a Junior Creative Producer at DoRo Production and as a freelance music video director for Blow-Film. From 2001 to 2006, Thiel studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) . After graduating, she worked for various TV formats such as Galileo Mystery and Terra X and staged documentary series. Her first full-length feature film Gut zu Vögeln was released in January 2015 .
