Mira de Aire is a small town ( Vila ) and a municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Porto de Mós with 3775 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

Culture and sights

The Serra de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park is interesting, and part of the area is in this area. The area around Mira de Aire is known for its cave hikes through the largest cave formation in Portugal to date, the Gruta dos Moinhos Velhos , better known as Grutas Mira Daire .

The baroque parish church Igreja Paroquial de Mira de Aire (also Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Amparo or Igreja Velha ) , originally built in the 15th century, is also a listed building.
