Mirella Bentivoglio

Mirella Bentivoglio (born March 28, 1922 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee , Austria ; † March 23, 2017 in Rome , Italy ) was an Italian poet of visual and concrete poetry . She was also a sculptor , performance artist and curator .

Career

Bentivoglio was born in Austria to Italian parents in 1922 and grew up in Milan . She studied languages ​​in Switzerland and London and used her father's library for further training during World War II . Since the 1970s, two symbols have determined Bentivoglio's work between image and language: the egg and the tree.
