Mireya González Álvarez (born July 18, 1991 in León ) is a Spanish handball player .

Career

Mireya González played for the Spanish club BM Alcobendas until 2012 . The backcourt player then moved to the French first division club Union Mios Biganos-Bègles . With Union Mios Biganos-Bègles, she won the EHF Challenge Cup in the 2014/15 season . In 2015 she joined the Hungarian association Érdi VSE . In February 2018 González was loaned to Győri ETO KC until the end of the 2017/18 season to compensate for Nora Mørk's injury-related loss . With Győri ETO KC she won the Hungarian Championship, the Hungarian Cup and the EHF Champions League . In the 2018/19 season, the left-hander was under contract with the Hungarian first division club Siófok KC . With Siófok she won the EHF Cup in 2019 . She then moved to the Romanian first division club SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea .

Mireya González is a member of the Spanish national team . So far, she has scored 115 goals in 65 international matches . At the 2019 World Cup , she won the silver medal with the Spanish selection.
