Mirko Schuster (born July 21, 1994 in Mannheim ) is a German soccer player who last played for SV Waldhof Mannheim .

Career

Schuster played in the junior division for SV Waldhof Mannheim until 2007 , before moving to Karlsruher SC , for whose youth teams he played in the U17 and U19 Bundesliga . In the summer of 2012, he traveled to the training camp with the professional team during the preparation for the season and was part of the matchday squad for the first time at the end of the first half of the 2012/13 season. After being promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2013, Schuster was a regular part of the matchday squad of Karlsruher SC at the start of the season, but he only played for the second team in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . Schuster suffered a setback in January 2014 after a thigh injury sustained at the winter training camp in Belek , Turkey , had to be treated surgically and Schuster was out for the rest of the season. After his recovery in the 2014/15 season, he was no longer considered in the professional squad.

In January 2015, Schuster, who can be used in central defense and defensive midfield, moved to third division club SG Sonnenhof Großaspach , which is at risk of relegation . The relegation succeeded and after he finished the following season with Großaspach in 7th place in the table, he was obliged by the regional league team TSV Steinbach.

There, Schuster did not extend his contract, which ran until June 30, 2016, and instead signed a contract with his former youth club, SV Waldhof Mannheim, which was valid until June 30, 2019 and which was no longer extended after promotion to the third division .

After the failed move to Spain in the summer of 2019, it was announced on January 30, 2020 that Schuster is now under contract with VfB Oldenburg in the Regionalliga Nord .
