Mirnes Mešić (born March 16, 1978 in Doboj , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player .

Career

Mešić came in 1996 from the youth of TSV Haubersbronn to the amateurs of VfB Stuttgart . There he played until December 1998 in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg and the Regionalliga Süd . He then played a total of five seasons for SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg, where he scored 54 goals in 139 league games.

For the 2003/04 season he signed with the regional league team Stuttgarter Kickers and played there until the winter break of the 2006/07 season before moving to the promotion favorites TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for 170,000 euros . After ten goals in the first half of the season for the Stuttgarter Kickers and another seven in the second half of the season for Hoffenheim, the striker and Jonathan Jäger became the top scorer in the Regionalliga Süd. In addition, he rose with TSG Hoffenheim with a large lead over the next-placed in the 2nd Bundesliga . After the Hoffenheim commitments of Chinedu Obasi , Demba Ba and Carlos Eduardo shortly before the end of the transfer deadline, Mesić, who had so far made three second division appearances in the season, decided to move and joined SC Freiburg , where he was under his long-time coach at the Stuttgarter Kickers, Robin Dutt , played. In Freiburg he was unable to assert himself in his first season and moved to third division Kickers Offenbach in summer 2008 . The contract with Mešić was not renewed by the OFC after the end of the 2010/11 season.

Mešić then moved to Kickers Obertshausen in the Association League Hesse . After relegation to the group league in 2013, he became a player-coach with the Kickers. In December, he dissolved his contract with the club and joined the club division SSV Lindheim for the second half of the season.
