Carlos Eduardo Marques (born July 18, 1987 in Ajuricaba ) is a Brazilian football player .
Career
society
Carlos Eduardo began his career in Ajuricaba, his birthplace, at the Uefa Ajuricaba football school there . From 2003 he played in the youth teams of Gremio Porto Alegre and in 2006 won the Brazilian U-20 championship. In 2007 he made his debut in Gremio's professional team and won the Campeonato Gaúcho in his first year as a professional .
In August 2007 he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for a transfer fee of around eight million euros , with whom he signed a contract until June 2012. This made him the most expensive player in German second division history at the time. Carlos Eduardo made his debut on September 3, 2007 away in the 3-2 defeat at SC Freiburg . In the following games he developed into a regular player. From the beginning of the 2008/09 season until the end of the 2009/10 season he played with Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga .
In the summer of 2010 Eduardo moved to Russian champions Rubin Kazan for 20 million euros . By the end of the 2010 season , he came to six league appearances in which he scored two goals. In the 2011/12 season , Eduardo was not used due to injury. It was not until September 2012 that he returned to two missions in the 2012/13 season .
In January 2013 Eduardo was loaned to Flamengo Rio de Janeiro until June 30, 2014 . He played his first game on May 26, 2013 against FC Santos .
For the 2014/15 season Eduardo returned to Kazan. He played eleven games in the first half of the season and scored three goals. A transfer back to the Bundesliga to 1. FC Köln that was sought during the winter break failed.
National team
Carlos Eduardo took part in the 2007 U-20 World Cup with the Brazilian U-20 national team. He made his debut in the Seleção on November 14, 2009 in a 1-0 win against England when he came on for Nilmar .
