Career

Slušný jumped in Chamonix for the first time in the Ski Jumping World Cup on February 26, 1981 and achieved his first two World Cup points on the normal hill with 14th place.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1982 Slušný jumped 37th on the normal hill and 40th on the large hill. In the first World Cup after the World Cup on Holmenkollen , he achieved the best individual result of his career with 9th place. He ended the 1982/83 season in 47th place overall. In the following season Slušný appeared exclusively in the Four Hills Tournament 1983/84 , but remained unsuccessful and pointless. On January 12, 1986, he played his last jumping for Czechoslovakia in his adopted home Liberec and was able to win three World Cup points with 13th place.

In 1994 Slušný returned to the Ski Jumping World Cup at the age of 29 after an almost eight-year break and started again for two World Cup competitions in Lahti for the newly founded Slovak Ski Federation. With 32nd and 40th places, however, he could no longer jump to the top positions. Slušný ended his career with the start at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer . There he reached 51st place on the normal hill and 45th place on the large hill.
