Misagria is a genus of dragonflies consisting of four species. The genus belongs to the subfamily Sympetrinae and wasdescribedby William Kirby in 1889 . Ananimal of the previously unknown species Misagria parana servedas the generotype . The distribution area extends along the Amazon and its tributaries. The larvae are still unknown.

features

Misagria species are medium-sized dragonflies and reach lengths between 34 and 45 millimeters. The abdomen ( abdomen ) and the chest ( thorax ) are dark in color with yellowish spots. The wings are transparent. The last antenodal loader in the front wing is complete, so it extends from the Costa loader to the radial artery .

Habitat

The adults of the genus Misagria occur in slightly shady forest areas where they sit on branches waiting for prey.
