Mitchell Amundsen

Charles Mitchell Amundsen (born May 31, 1958 in San Francisco , California ) is an American cameraman .

Life

Charles Mitchell Amundsen grew up in Larkspur . While his father worked as an insurance and real estate agent, music greats like the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin lived in his neighborhood . He began photography during high school. Until 1980 he studied at Montana State University - Bozeman . He left university to work for Francis Ford Coppola's One with a Heart , Rumble Fish, and The Outsider as a production assistant for $ 100 a week . He then worked his way up as a camera assistant and worked in films such as Pearl Harbor until 2002 ,Pirates of the Caribbean and The Bourne Conspiracy with. Since his debut as a cameraman in the comedy The Country Bears , he has shot action films such as Transformers and Red Dawn and various comedies.
