Wiener-Neustädter-Warte (around 1910)

Wiener Neustädter Warte

The first Wiener-Neustädter Warte, built in 1883, was demolished in 1902 because it was dilapidated. On May 3, 1903, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Wiener Neustädter Section of the Austrian Tourist Club, the newly built Wiener Neustädter Warte (...) was opened. The 16-meter-high observation tower, which, according to old descriptions, offered a magnificent view of the Steinfeld and the Hohe Wand, had fallen into disrepair over the years and, in relation to the location, has not found a successor until today.

In 1924 a new Wiener-Neustädter observation tower was to be built on the Steinkogel in the Rosaliengebirge .

On September 9, 2007, a new observation tower was opened at Florianikreuz and opened to the public.
