The Middle Petermann Range is a mountain range in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises over a length of 27 km in a north-south orientation from the cutting group to the Großer Schwarzhorn in the Wohlthat massif .
They were discovered and named during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . It is named after the German cartographer and geographer August Petermann (1822–1878).
