Miyuki Maeda
Miyuki Maeda ( Japanese 前 田 美 順 , Maeda Miyuki ; born October 14, 1985 in Kirishima ) is a badminton player from Japan .
Career
Maeda attended the high school Kumamoto -Chūō girls' high school . At this time she won her first championship in doubles in 2003: nationally at the Badminton High School Championships ( 高校 選 抜 , kōkō sembatsu ) and internationally at the German International Junior Championships, as well as Dutch Junior.
After school, she joined Renesas Semiconductor Kyūshū / Yamaguchi, a subsidiary of Renesas Electronics , and has since played for their factory team.
Maeda won her first national title in mixed with Keita Masuda in 2005 . They were able to defend this title until 2008. In 2009 Miyuki Maeda was again successful in mixed, but this time with a new partner Noriyasu Hirata . With the new partner, Maeda also made it onto the podium at the Asian Championship, where they finished third in mixed doubles. In 2010 she was able to defend her national mixed title and also won the women's doubles with her regular partner Satoko Suetsuna .
At her first World Cup participation in 2006, she failed in women's doubles with Satoko Suetsuna in round 2 to Nadieżda Kostiuczyk and Kamila Augustyn . A year later they were in the second round, and in 2009 later both made it to the quarter-finals, where they were defeated by Du Jing and Yu Yang from China. The quarter-finals were also the last stop at the China Open Super Series 2007 and the Malaysia Super Series 2008 . They both did better at the India Open 2008 and the Indonesia Super Series 2008, where they won silver, and the US Open 2007, where they even won the tournament. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , the Japanese pairing, often nicknamed “Suemae” for short, came fourth. In the bronze medal match, they lost to Chinese Zhang Yawen and Wei Yili with 17:21 and 10:21.
