Zhang Yawen
Zhang Yawen ( Chinese : 张亚雯 ; born March 9, 1983 in Chongqing ) is a Chinese badminton player .
Athletic career
Zhang Yawen has won five medals at the Badminton World Championships so far . In 2005 she won bronze in women's doubles with Zhang Dan and silver in mixed with Xie Zhongbo behind Liliyana Natsir and Nova Widianto from Indonesia . A year later she won the semi-finals of the women's doubles with Wei Yili against Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewen , but lost to her compatriots Gao Ling and Huang Sui in the final . In 2007 in Kuala Lumpur , the semi-finals were the final destination for Zhang Yawen in both women's doubles and mixed.
At the 2008 Olympics, she had to bury her gold hopes again in the semi-finals of the women's doubles. With Wei Yili they lost to the later Olympic champions Du Jing and Yu Yang . In the match for bronze they then won against Miyuki Maeda and Satoko Suetsuna from Japan .
