MoStack

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

MoStack (born August 31, 1994 in London ; actually Montell Daley ) is a British rapper from north London. He had his first successes on the Internet in 2014 and has been in the British charts regularly since 2017.

biography

Montell Daley aka MoStack grew up in Hornsey, north London. In 2014 he first attracted attention with his single No Buddy on Link Up TV, one of the UK's major rap channels on YouTube . His fame quickly grew and well-known rappers took him along as a tour company. In 2015 he appeared in the opening act for Stormzy and in 2016 for Wretch32 . In the same year he presented his first mixtape Gangster with Banter and a year later High Street Kid . It came in 16th place, but it was much more successful with collaborations than with his own publications. Fisherman with J Hus and bathroom with Steel Banglez reached Gold and No Words with Dave even platinum. What I Wanna was his first own gold single in spring 2018.

The song was also featured on his first real album, Stacko , more than a year later . After he had achieved his first top 10 placement as a guest at Steel Banglez ' Fashion Week , he came to number 3 in the album charts with Stacko himself. Four more songs from it entered the charts, Shine Girl with Stormzy reached number 13 and, like the album, silver status. Its involvement in Dinner Guest of AJ Tracey brought him in May 2020 to 5th place, its best single placement.

MoStack was nominated twice at the MOBO Awards , the British Black Music Awards, in 2016 as best newcomer and in 2017 as best male performer. After that, however, the award was suspended for several years.
