Mocro Maffia is a Dutch crime - drama series of the streaming provider Videoland , which was first released on October 11, 2018th It is based on the book of the same name by journalists and authors Wouter Laumans and Marijn Schrijver as well as on real events.
The German-language first publication took place on November 26, 2019 at Joyn .
In October 2018, the series was extended by a second season, the release of which is scheduled for April 2020.

The series is about the gang wars in the Dutch capital Amsterdam . Romano, Potlood and Jaouad are best friends and run a joint, economically well-run cocaine trade . When Jaouad went into business for himself after an argument, however, there was a major conflict between Romano and him. Jaouad tries to intercept a drug load that arrives by ship in Rotterdam and is actually intended for Romano. When Romano's people are supposed to scare the traitors, they do so with a machine gun and Molotov cocktails . Two members of the Jaouad gang die in the process. Jaouad swears revenge and the gang war begins. Both parties are now doing everything possible to save their business, which leads to murders, conspiracies and betrayal. It gets even more out of control when Jaouad kills Potlood's fiancée and baby.
The writer Rein de Waard, who takes care of his terminally ill wife, has become an expert in drug crime through a bestseller and is now working with the journalist Matthijs Harderwijk on a new book about the current situation.
