Modolești is a Romanian village in Alba County in Transylvania . It is part of the municipality of Întregalde .
location
Modoleşti is located in the Trascău Mountains in western Transylvania . The village is located on the county road ( drum județean ) DJ 107K about two kilometers north of the community center; the district capital Alba Iulia ( Karlsburg ) is about 40 kilometers (about 24 km as the crow flies) to the southeast.
population
The 129 inhabitants of the place (as of 2002) call themselves all Romanians. The population has decreased significantly since it was first recorded in 1956 (then 328).
traffic
Modolești can be reached via an unpaved road that leads from the European route E 81 through the valley of the Galda brook into the Trascău mountains. Here buses run several times a day to the district capital Alba Iulia.
Attractions
The place itself has no special features, but it is located in an attractive landscape. A few hundred meters east of the village, the Galda brook breaks through a ridge of the Trascău mountains and thus forms the Cheile Întregalde valley gorge .
