The Modren Peak (English; Bulgarian връх Модрен wrach Modren ) is a 1900 m high mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In Owen Ridge , the southernmost part of the main ridge of the Sentinel Range in the Ellsworth Mountains , it rises 4.3 km southwest of Mount Inderbitzen , 5.35 km west-northwest Peristera Peak and 16.34 km east-northeast of Bergison Peak . Its steep north and south-west slopes are partly not icy. The Nimitz Glacier lies west of it.
American scientists mapped it in 1961 and 1988. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after the ancient Thracian settlement of Modren in southern Bulgaria .
