The Owen Ridge is a towering and rugged mountain range in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It forms the southwestern branch of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains and extends in a south-southeast direction over a length of 35 km. The highest point is Mount Strybing with 3200 m . Other peaks are Mount Southwick and Lishness Peak .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1957 and 1960. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain range in 1974 after Thomas B. Owen, deputy director of national and international research programs at the National Science Foundation .
