The Lishness Peak is a 2,200 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworth Land . It rises 1.5 km southeast of Wilson Peak on the east side of the Nimitz Glacier in the south of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1957 and 1959. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1961 after Alton Lynne Lishness (1931-2008), radio operator on board a Douglas DC-3 while flying over the Ellsworth Mountains on January 28, 1958.
