Mohamed Benouza

Mohamed Benouza (born September 26, 1972 in Oran ) is an Algerian football referee . He has been an international referee for FIFA since 2001 .

He was selected as referee for the 2007 Junior World Cup in Canada , where he directed the game between Panama and North Korea on June 30, 2007. He also took over the direction of the game between New Zealand and Mexico on July 8, 2007. He also acted as a referee at the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana .

Benouza was also supposed to be used as a referee at the 2010 World Cup , but missed participation after one of his assistants failed a fitness test in May 2010.
