Mohamed Touré , also Mohamed Toure (born March 26, 2004 in Conakry ), is a Guinea- born Australian football player of Liberian descent who is under contract with the first division club Adelaide United . At 15 years and 326 days, he is the youngest goalscorer in the Australian top division.

Career

Touré is the son of Liberian parents and was born in the Guinean capital Conakry , where his father was a soccer player. Mohamed Touré emigrated with his family to Australia at the age of two , where he played in the youth teams of the Croydon Kings and the FFSA NTC before joining the youth team at Adelaide United in the summer of 2019 . Touré impressed in the Adelaide youth team and was promoted to the first team by head coach Gertjan Verbeek in February 2020. On February 8, 2020 (18th matchday) he made his debut in the 1: 2 away defeat against Brisbane Roar at the age of 15 in the top Australian division when he came on for Stefan Mauk in the 82nd minute of the game . On February 13, he signed his first three-year deal with the Reds . Six days after his league debut, he was exchanged again in the home game against the Central Coast Mariners and scored in the 84th minute the goal to the 2-0 final score, making him the youngest scorer in league history at 15 years and 326 days. The striker was also regularly substituted in the next league games .

Mohamed Touré's older brother, Al Hassan, is also a professional footballer and his teammate at Adelaide United.
