Mohammed al-Suleimani gained his first experience at international championships in 2017 at the Asian Youth Championships in Bangkok , where he won the bronze medal in the 2000 meter obstacle course in 6: 13.33 minutes. He also qualified for the U18 World Championships in Nairobi , where he finished tenth in 5: 59.72 minutes. The following year he took part in the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires , but could not finish his first race there and therefore did not take part in the second competition. In 2019 he reached the semi-finals at the Asian Championships in Doha in the 800-meter run , in which he was eliminated with 1: 52.21 minutes. In addition, he retired over 1500 meters with 4: 01.70 minutes in the lead. This was followed by participation in the Summer Universiade , where he was eliminated in the first lap in the 400-meter run with 49.29 s, as well as over 800 meters with 1: 52.27 min. Over 800 meters he also qualified for the World Championships in Doha, where he was eliminated with 1: 50.91 minutes in the lead .
