Surname

The name "poppy (s)" may be related to the moon . Since there are also mountain mowers nearby, a derivation of "mowing" / " mowing " can be given. Adelung names the meaning of "Fluh" ("Fluhe") in his grammatical-critical dictionary of the High German dialect, as " a word common only in Upper German, especially in Switzerland ": " a stone mass that extends over a considerable width Flötz, but often also a stone mass of considerable height "or" a rock wall, a rock; where it soon reads Fluh, Fluhe, Flii, Fluc etc. "
