Moira Walls

Moira Walls ( Moira Lindsay Walls, married Maguire; born May 4, 1952 in Glasgow ) is a former British high jumper , long jumper and pentathlete .

At the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1969 , she was ninth in the long jump and was eliminated in the high jump in the qualification.

In 1970 she won bronze in the high jump for Scotland starting at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh . She finished fourth in the pentathlon and fifth in the long jump.

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, she did not get past the first round in the high jump .

In 1969 she became the English pentathlon champion. She was four times Scottish champion in the high jump (1969, 1970, 1975, 1984), three times in the pentathlon (1969, 1970, 1977) and once each in the long jump (1969) and in the 100-meter hurdles (1969).

Her daughter is the rower Lindsey Maguire .
