Moisés Muñoz, who was born in the state of Michoacán, began his career as a professional footballer at CA Monarcas Morelia , which is based in the state's capital , and for whom he played a total of 282 games between 1999 and 2010. First he made his debut in the Mexican Primera División in a game played on September 19, 1999 at CF Pachuca , which was lost 4-2. After that, however, more than two years should pass before Muñoz came on November 25, 2001 for his second assignment. This time the Monarcas played at CF Pachuca and lost again, this time with 0: 1.
