The Club Puebla is a football club from the Mexican metropolis of Puebla . The club plays its games in the Estadio Cuauhtémoc , which was renovated from 2014 to 2015 and has 51,726 seats.
history
The club was founded in 1944 by Alfonso Sobero and Joaquin Diaz and registered for the newly introduced professional football league in 1944/45 . Already approved there for the 1944/45 season, Puebla FC remained first class until the 1956/57 season. After it came to financial bottlenecks, the club withdrew its team from the current game operation, so that the league ended this year with only 13 (instead of 14) teams. From then on, Puebla played in the third division until promotion to the second division in 1964 and finally the return to the first division in 1970. The club remained in the top division until the summer of 2005, when the team suffered a sporting descent this time. Puebla spent the next two seasons in the second division and managed to return to the football club in the summer of 2007, so that since the 2007/08 season you can get a taste of the first division again.
