Juan Alvarado Marín (born December 27, 1948 in Zamora , Michoacán ) is a Mexican football coach and former player on the position of the striker .
Life
player
Alvarado received his first professional contract with Club Universidad Nacional , for which he played between 1966 and 1972. Before the 1972/73 season he moved to Puebla FC , where he was under contract up to and including the 1982/83 season and with whom he won the Mexican football championship in his last season as an active player . It was the first championship title for both the player and the club.
Trainer
He made his debut as a coach in the Mexican Primera División towards the end of the 1987/88 season when he oversaw the Ángeles de Puebla for the last nine games of the season. Although Alvarado won four times with his team in these nine games and got three draws, his work as head coach ended at the end of the season.
His greatest success as a coach he celebrated at the end of the 1999/00 season, when he won the championship of the second division with the CD Irapuato, which he was in charge of , and made it to the Primera División, in whose 2000/01 season he still over the Freseros looked after long distances.
After a brief takeover of Tiburones Rojos Veracruz in 2002 for only two games, Alvarado only looked after teams in the second , third and fourth leagues. Many of his engagements included only a few games as head coach and only in a few cases did his activity last at least half a year.
