Pablo Larios Iwasaki (born July 31, 1960 in Zacatepec , Morelos , † January 31, 2019 ) was a Mexican football goalkeeper .
biography
society
Larios, son of a Japanese and a Spaniard, began his professional career in 1980/81 in the service of the CD Zacatepec , where he was under contract at least until its relegation from the Primera División at the end of the 1982/83 season. There is no information about his club membership in the 1983/84 season. From 1984/85 to 1988/89 he was under contract with Cruz Azul before he spent the next five years (1989 to 1994) at Puebla FC and then went to the Toros Neza , where he started his active career in the 1998 / 99 finished.
National team
Between 1983 and 1991 Larios was a total of 48 times for the Mexican national soccer team. He made his international debut in a friendly on March 15, 1983 against Costa Rica (1-0), his last international match he played on July 5, 1991 in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup 1991 against the USA (0-2).
Pablo Larios played all five international matches that the Mexicans played at the 1986 World Cup in their own country , in full. He wanted to visit his girlfriend who lived in the USA , but had lost his visa and therefore wanted to enter illegally. His lifeless body was found in close proximity to the Texan village of El Granjen.
