Molly Peters

Molly Peters , actually Mollie Peters , (born March 15, 1942 in Walsham-le-Willows , Suffolk , England ; † May 30, 2017 ) was a British actress and model .

Career

Peters started her career as a model until she was discovered by director Terence Young . In 1965 she appeared in the November issue of Playboy as part of a series of pictures titled James Bond's Girls by Richard Maibaum .

Molly Peters appeared in only three feature films during the 1960s. Her best-known role is that of the " Bond girl" Patricia Fearing in James Bond 007 - Fireball (1965). In it, Peters played a nurse who took care of James Bond ( Sean Connery ) during his stay at the sanatorium , which led to a night together. The erotic scene was considered objectionable at the time and, at the request of the British Board of Film Classification , was defused with a few cuts in order to avoid an X rating . Molly Peters is considered the first Bond girl to completely undress in front of the camera - but she was not seen completely naked. She was then considered one of the sex symbols of the 1960s.

The fact that her film career was so short was reportedly the result of a disagreement with her agent. She later retired from the acting business, married and lived with her husband in Ipswich .
