Moon head
Mondkopf , actually Paul Régimbeau (* 1986 in Toulouse , France ) is a French electronic musician and music producer.
Life
Régimbeau grew up in Toulouse and moved to Paris in 2008.
Régimbeau came up with his name when he encountered the term in German after he was accused of lack of concentration at school with the metaphor that he had his head on the moon. ( "On me disait que j'avais toujours la tête dans la lune et que je n'étais pas concentré. Finalement j'ai trouvé ce nom en allemand, je trouvais que ça sonnait bien et je l'ai gardé." ) In in his youth he was engaged in hip-hop beats and remixes by, for example, Johnny Cash and Grand National .
With his remixes he drew the attention of the European trade press as well as various DJs, such as Agoria , Busy P , Boys Noize , Patrice Baumel , Radio Slave or James Zabiela of the Bones Club in his Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 and Libera me 2010 on his compilation The Masters Series .
