The Mongarlowe River is a river in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales .

It rises in the southern plateau of New South Wales in Monga National Park , around ten kilometers east of the small town of Araluen . From there it flows north, crosses under the Kings Highway and flows through the small town of Mungarlowe . Then it turns its course to the northwest and flows into the Shoalhaven River at Charleyong .
