Monika Linges

Monika Linges (* 1951 ) is a German jazz singer and composer.

Linges studied at the Berklee School of Music . In 1979 she founded her own quartet, with which she was successful in the 1980s and made several records. She also appeared several times with the WDR Big Band Cologne (CD: "Songs of Light", 2000). Until the mid-1990s she worked as a lecturer at Ilse Storb's jazz laboratory at the University of Duisburg . Originally at home in jazz , voice work became a central theme for the Aachen award winner. Today she concentrates on meditative-vocal pedagogical work with women, whereby she also gives specific home-women courses . She lives and works as a composer and singer in Aachen.
