Monika Schnyder

Monika Schnyder (born May 15, 1945 in Zurich ) is a Swiss journalist and poet .

life and work

Monika Schnyder attended a preliminary course at the School of Design in Zurich . She then moved to Eastern Switzerland in 1983, where she has been working as a freelance journalist from then on. Among other things, she writes for the Tages-Anzeiger and the Tages-Anzeiger magazine . Monika Schnyder went on many trips, especially to the Orient. In 2007 she spent a writing residency in the Atelier San Gallo in Rome . She also took part in a reading by the Goethe-Institut Cairo at the Mutanabbi Festival and in 2000 spent half a year on a writing residency in Cairo-Shabramant. She has lived in St. Gallen since 2000 , where she also works as a freelance language teacher. She is a member of the AdS authors' association .
